Glass Runway 2010 to benefit CASA

April 3rd, 2010 at Louisville Glassworks

From Nfocus Magazine: For the nearly 200 people attending the Glass Runway Show, the importance of the evening was clear. Produced by Russ Mitchell Management, the electrifying event infused runway chic with heartbreaking messages of the plight of many children in our community. Hosted by Glassworks, the event raised more than $10,000 for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the River Region, a nonprofit organization that advocates for abused and neglected children in the family court system. “These children need the support of donors, volunteers, and our community to speak up for their best interests,” said president and CEO Kristen Riddick. The show is a collaboration between Russ Renbarger, Mitchell Cotthoff, Shea Johnson and Brent Smith to raise awareness regarding incidents of neglect and abuse in Kentucky last year. “CASA makes an immeasurable contribution to the lives of so many of these children, and this was a great opportunity for our team to show our support,” Renbarger said. Featuring fashion by Clodhoppers and Blink and the styling of William and Shannon Dean, the show was two parts fashion and one part theatrics.
