Bio:

Russ grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and attended St. Xavier High School (class of 1998). Russ went on to receive his B. Arch. (Architecture) from the University of Kentucky College of Design’s School of Architecture which has achieved a national reputation for excellence through the commitment of its faculty and the spirit, talent and dedication of its students. The School of Architecture is fully accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Creativity is essential to survival at UK COD, as representational skills such as drawing, model making, and computer modeling are practiced rigorously as essential skills for design. Russ has ten years design experience as an architect with the Louisville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers which, just last year, housed a total program budget of $1.6 billion. While working at the Corps, Russ began “moonlighting” and established and headed a small business marketing firm specializing in social media marketing and web development from 2005-2009, and later partnered in a business management firm in 2008- 2010. In mid-2010 Russ found his own niche in business brand development and marketability services including social media and strategic partnering with his latest venture, Red Tag Ideas, LLC. While Red Tag is currently Russ’s main focus, recent relationships built through his business have created partnerships with other NEW ventures including Safety Net Enterprises, LLC, Smoke Switchers Inc., and LexMedJobs.com. Russ’s connections in both Louisville and Lexington make creating synergy between Kentucky’s largest cities a major asset to Red Tag’s marketing/ partnering strategies.
